Our Story

The Macaulay Adegborioye Foundation was established in loving memory of Pa Macaulay Akinrosoye Adegborioye, a trailblazer in education, public service, and community development whose life remains a source of inspiration across generations.

Born in Igbotako, Ikale Division of Ondo State, Pa Adegborioye rose from humble beginnings to become the first university graduate in Ikaleland, a feat made possible by resilience, discipline, and an unshakeable belief in the power of education. He trained at St. Andrew’s College, Oyo, and in 1948, he was among the foundation students of University College Ibadan now University of Ibadan. Pa Macaulay Akinrosoye Adegborioye earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of London, and later advanced his public administration training at the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.

His distinguished career spanned education, public administration, electoral governance, sports development, and community leadership. He served meritoriously in the Western Region public service, the Federal Electoral Commission (FEDECO), the Nigeria Association of Local Governments, and various community and sporting institutions, including leadership roles within Nigerian football administration. A devoted Christian, family man, and mentor, he was widely respected for his integrity, excellence, and service to humanity.

The Foundation exists to preserve his legacy and extend his lifelong commitment to education, leadership, and opportunity to future generations.
